About Amy Clare Tasker

Aslam Husain Photography

I am a theatre maker and catalyst, creating performance with a belief that the stories we tell can change the world.

As artistic director of Pinecone Performance Lab, I am developing The Helen Project and Home Is Where. I facilitate the London Devised Theatre Intensive.

I began my career in San Francisco, where I was artistic director of Inkblot Ensemble, and an associate artist with Cutting Ball Theater and EXIT Theatre. I graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a degree in Drama, after a year at the University of Manchester as an international exchange student.

Since moving to London in 2013, I have created performances at Rich Mix, Camden People’s Theatre, Theatre Delicatessen, LOST Theatre, Cockpit Theatre, Canal Cafe Theatre, Theatre Utopia, and the Southbank Centre’s Women of the World Festival.

I am part of the producing team behind the Change of Art Festival, an annual multi-arts event in partnership with HOPE not hate, Amnesty UK, and Upstart Theatre. I am the UK Ambassador for the World Theatre Map, a user-generated directory of theatre makers around the globe. I also facilitate the GAP Salon (Gender and Performance) which meets every other month at Theatre Delicatessen.
